Collins Funeral Home is a fourth generation family owned and operated Funeral Home in Norwalk, CT. Our funeral home has a reputation for exceptional standards of service as well as care and concern for families. We are seeking a full time, dedicated Licensed Funeral Director to join our team as a lead director. The ideal candidate would be involved in all aspects of the funeral service, including coordinating arrangements with the family, preparations for viewings, and directing the services. In addition, the Director would be involved in the day to day running of the Funeral home. The Director must have excellent attention to detail and be self motivated. Must also be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals. Candidate must be licensed in the State of Connecticut and understand the legal regulations. Apprentices may be considered so long as educational requirements are completed and have passed the National Board Exam.

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, one weekday off
• On Call Weekdays
• Rotating Weekend on call

Responsibilities:

• Deliver and coordinate funeral services.
• Coordinate and manage staff members.
• Plan and implement funerals, memorials, and ceremonies.
• Understand and follow legal ordinances.

License/ Certification:

• Drivers License
• Funeral Director License Required
